Adora’s Menopause Support Pilot with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Ayrshire and Arran

Since 2024, Adora has been working with stakeholders in Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Ayrshire and Arran on a project funded through the Scottish Government’s CivTech 9.2 Challenge.

The aim of this partnership is to explore how digital tools can help women better understand menopause and more easily access support that fits their individual needs.

About the Scottish health board pilots

AdobeStock_brandphoto.png

Staff and patients across both health boards are being given access to the Adora menopause companion app, along with live education webinar events and resources. The pilot includes an evaluation and research component designed to understand how people use Adora, what menopause support they find most helpful, and how digital resources can support the wellbeing of NHS staff and patients. We are also considering the financial impacts of menopause - both for the NHS in West Scotland and women who seek help outside of the NHS.

All participation in the pilot is voluntary.

Why this matters

Many women face challenges accessing clear, trusted menopause information and navigating online information. By working closely with NHS partners, the Adora service aims to build a better understanding of what women need and how digital tools can complement existing services, such as those provided by NHS employers and menopause clinics. Insights from the pilot are intended to help policymakers in shaping future approaches to menopause support across Scotland.

Looking ahead

The pilot runs for 12 weeks, ending in February 2026, and will generate findings to support future developments in digital innovation for menopause and workplace wellbeing. As the project progresses, updates and learning are being shared with the participating health boards and project stakeholders.
